Upholstered pelmets can be the finishing touch.  They can either have a matching or complimenting piped edge or a trimming attached to the bottom edge.  A pelmet sits above a roman blind or a pair of curtains and can be rectangular or shaped.  Pelmets can also help minimise light filtration into the room and can help in keeping the room darker.
